User Based Review: Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge vs iPhone 6 plus
The latest clash between the most new gadgets is taking place between the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and the iPhone 6 plus. With the best of the latest technology, both of these promise to provide you with excellent features for the money that they are priced at. The iPhone 6 plus as we all know, is designed and marketed by Apple Inc. It was released and distributed on 19th of September, 2014. Being a successor alongside iPhone 6, to the iPhone 5c and the iPhone 5s, it included quite a number of changes. On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge was unveiled and released on the 10th of April, 2015 containing a major revamp compared to its predecessors i.e. Samsung Galaxy S5.
Let’s take a look at both these devices.
Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has a 5.1 inch curved panel, 2560 x 1440 pixels and a Super AMOLED display. The pixel density of Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge extends up to 577 ppi. Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is constructed using the unibody frame which is made of aluminium alloy 6013. Moreover, the body also contains a glass backing. The curved bezel that comes along with the chamfered sides to improve the grip is anaddition along, giving it a different look. Whereas, iPhone 6 plus constructed with aluminium is of 5.5 inch physical size, possessing a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and an IPS LCD display. It increases up to 401 ppi in the newest iPhone 6 plus.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge runs on Android 5.0.2 “Lollipop” with Samsung’s TouchWiz software suite which is upgradable to v5.1.1 (Lollipop). It is powered by a 64-bit Exynos 7 Octa 7420 system-on-chip, consisting of four 2.1 GHz Cortex-A57 cores, and four 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 cores, and 3 GB of LPDDR4 RAM. Whereas, the iPhone 6 plus has a 3072 MG RAM and the latter possessing a 1024 MG RAM. It runs on the ios operating system as usual.
Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge’s camera has been intricately designed with a 16 megapixels setting along with LED flash and F1.9 aperture size. The front camera is 5 megapixels high and has a High Dynamic Range (HDR) mode. Whereas, iPhone 6 plus has an 8 megapixels strength added with a powerful Dual LED and a F2.2 aperture size. Its front camera is 1.2 megapixels high.
